Kramer partners with Ausenco to expand services to PNG and the Southern Pacific Islands

Kramer Solomon Islands office supporting KOSSA Netball Club

Kramer Solomon Islands office have once again showed their community support by donating SBD$3,000 to KOSSA Netball Club to enable their participation in both Super Division & A Division of the Solomon Islands Netball Club Association Tournament 2009. Kramer Solomon Islands office is happy to help with the development of Netball in Solomon Islands and wishes the KOSSA Club best of luck in the upcoming tournament.

Clean up Fiji campaign

The Kramer staff started out at the Suva Bowling Club and worked their way up to Queen Elizabeth Drive. The heat didn’t seem to discourage the staff members as they went from picking up bottles to getting rid of old tyres, old gas stoves etc. There were empty cans, garbage bags that once contained rubbish, dumped at the foreshores instead of being left to be picked up by the SCC garbage trucks.

KRAMER Group (Solomon Islands) wins bid to design gov't building

A MULTI-MILLION dollar complex will be designed by KRAMER Group for the Ministry of Public Service. The building is earmarked to be located between the Prime Minister's office and the Ministry of Finance. The three-storey building will cost between $12 million and $14 million. More.

June 2008 – Brad Pape (Fiji Manager)

Kramer (Fiji) re-established their Fiji office in 2004 at Lami industrial estate. Fletcher Construction company kindly allowed us to rent office space from them which was a short term solution until we found something more appropriate for our operations.

Almost 4 years later we soon realized that with the current growth rate our Lami office was no longer sufficient for our needs and we needed a larger space to accommodate our 10 staff. After a lot of searching we settled on a central location in Suva (Victoria Parade) opposite the government buildings and haven’t looked back. More.

The purpose of the visit to Japan was to understand the manufacturing processes and technology involved with the production and operation of the Yanmar GHP plant used for air conditioning. GHP air conditioning is not powered by electricity rather gas that is commonly available throughout the South West Pacific.

PNG Post Courier: New building to start

A K200 million high-rise hotel will start to take shape on the Port Moresby skyline within a matter of weeks. The building will be known as the Papua Hotel and Apartments, reminding old-timers of the colonial-era Papua Hotel that was built on the adjacent block. Some international hotel chains are showing interest in managing the hotel. More.

Workshop on Engineering Standards in the Pacific Nations

A workshop on the Engineering Standards in the Pacific was carried in Wellington New Zealand on the 3rd to the 5th of October 2007. This workshop was hosted and fully funded by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ). A numbers of the Pacific Islands were invited to select an appropriate Local Engineer from each respective Island including Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa and Cook Islands as a representative for this workshop and NZAID was also invited. Kramer (SI) Group Supports Charity Golf Event

The Australian Defence Cooperation in Honiara held an Ambrose Golf Competition on the 23rd of November 07 to raise funds to assist youth representatives in the country, who will be attending the World Youth Conference event in Sydney Australia in 2008. Solomon Islands team do lunch

Recently on one of Frank Kramer’s many trips to our offices throughout the Pacific he took the Kramer Group Solomon Islands personnel out for lunch. The current team in the Solomon Islands is relatively new but the office is growing month by month and the team are working extremely well together, the luncheon was a celebration of this.

New Acting Manager for Kramer Group Fiji Office

Following the resignation of Arthur Rowson in August (2007) we’d like to introduce Brad Pape as the new (Acting) Manager of Kramer (Fiji) Ltd. Brad has domiciled in Fiji for the past two and a half years, he also has work experience in PNG, Vanuatu, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Kiribati. Brad has an excess of 10 years professional engineering experience and has worked in engineering design offices for much of his working life.
